Transsexual allowed to teach

Austria’s first transsexual teacher has been given the all clear to work by the education ministry after a sex change operation.

The man turned woman named only as Walter S. caused outcry among some parents by informing her students via e-mail at a polytechnic in Vienna-Margareten that she will be a woman when everyone returns for the new term next week.

The 58-year-old, who now calls herself Andrea, said today (Mon): “I’ve always felt like a girl, later like a woman. The sex change surgery I underwent recently was only a consequent step.”

Now the federal education ministry has confirmed Walter S. will not be dismissed or suspended over the surgery. “Schools are home to tolerance, not discrimination,” the statement said.

Walter S., a married father of one, said she told her wife only last year about her sexual orientation – after she discovered her secret passion for wearing women’s clothes.

Martha said: “I was shocked at first and though about getting divorced. But then I started meditating, and I found strengths in Buddhism. Now we live in a ‘lesbian partnership’. I had to let Walter go and took on Andrea instead.”

    When will those insane alarmists learn that gender and sex are 2 VERY different issues?

    To point to a TG and insinuate that they are sexually predatory is like pointing to a Holstein cow and claim it is a vicious carnivore!!

    Unlike religion, transsexual people don’t usually try to influence another person’s sexual orientation. Being a transsexual has nothing to do with sexual orientation in the first place, it has to do with a person not being happy with the sex they were born into. I know it can be confusing for those who aren’t that well informed but while transsexual and gay/lesbian are listed together so much it is often thought of as the same thing. A transsexual though is about which sex that person is, not which sex they are attracted to in this world. What most people need to realize is a MTF transsexual is usually a very passive, caring, and tender person. They, like gay/lesbian people, are safer around kids than straight people are if you want the honest truth. Just because we are transsexual or gay/lesbian doesn’t mean we are perverts, sex fiends, or anything bad. It just means we are different. Being a MTF transsexual, I am very protective of kids and animals, normally I am very passive and love teaching childs and adults that we are just different not bad.

    So like you said, who cares? It is just someone trying to do a job. Considering the state of public schools now, I think the school system needs all the good help it can get.

    Just because you have a gender issue or a different sexual orientation some people automatically assume you are a sexual predator. What they don’t realize or what they may actually realize which is why they act they way is they 99% of all sexual predators are straight and don’t have gender issues. In other words, the ones complaining the most are probably sexual predators in the first place.

    And I grew up on a farm, some Holstein cows can be pretty damn mean. lol I am not even going to touch on the subject of hogs.
