Sizzling Hot Bombshell Side Sweep Bangs
It’s inevitable. At some point we all get tired of our current look. Yes something different sounds good but what?
Okay well what about a 60 second make over in the form of bangs. No, not the typical straight across your forehead like in 6th grade bangs. But more the bold looking flirty side sweep bangs.
Side Sweep Bangs Defined: These are just regular bangs cut at an angle that then sweep across your forehead to one side.
Let’s discuss the three concerns that are typically brought up by those thinking of a new haircut with bangs.
What can stylish side sweep bangs do for your face?
What type of hair do you have to have?
What can be done to avoid having them slipping down over your eyes all the time?
Now far as which face shape they work with let me go out on a limb here. From what I’ve see personally and with my friends, long side sweep bangs pretty much flatter every face shape. Although those with long, square, or angular faces might benefit most. But I believe you’ll find they can soften your features while minimizing that landing strip at the top of your face called your forehead.
Then the hair type best suited for bangs is all types. No, that’s true. But they do work best for those with straight hair that’s not too thin. You’ll also need to go with a side part and not have hairline cowlicks to deal with.
Okay and now for the most annoying problem – getting them to stay put Because for sure they can stress you out when they are constantly falling into your eyes.
Clearly, pinning them back or using gel or hair mousse are things to think about.
Also, rather than blow drying them straight down, use a round brush to curl them to the side. Doing so can encourage them to stay swept across your forehead.
Blow drying them using your round brush from side to side is another way to train them. Just flip the bangs from side to side as they dry to boost the volume needed to hold them to the side. If need be you can spritz a bit of hair spray for a hold that should last all day.
Whatever you do, don’t to let them dry on their own. Especially if you have wavy hair. Otherwise you’ll have to straighten them which removes much of the volume and body needed to hold them in place. Leaving you back with that whole hair-falling-in-your-eyes thing again.
The nice thing is these are pretty much low-maintenance. If the need to trim them yourself strikes get yourself some decent thinning shears to thin out maybe the last half inch at the most? Taking care not to remove too much hair.
As you can see side sweep bangs are almost perfect for anyone who wants to ease into stylish bangs. Worst case, if the look doesn’t work out for you, you just let them grow out. So with little to lose why not make up your mind to alter that look you are tired of for the better this week?
