America’s Next Top Model: Former Transgendered Contestant Isis Makes Transition
If you are a fan of America’s Next Top Model then you will remember Isis King. She is the young lady that made headlines as the first transgendered contestant to compete on America’s Next Top Model. Although she didn’t win America’s Next Top Model, Tyra Banks saw what an inspiration she was to so many people and offered to pay for her final gender reassignment surgery after she was eliminated from the show. Isis King’s transition is complete and she is returning to the Tyra Banks show on Monday to show off her new look.
Isis King’s visit to the Tyra Banks show will be her first public appearance since her transistion, and she is excited.
“I got the bathing suit issue out of the way,” Isis King says to Tyra Banks on the show, according to Us Magazine. “I feel very confident and sexy.”
Isis King was voted off the 11th cycle of America’s Next Top Model after becoming nervous about wearing a bikini during a swimsuit shoot.
“It’s almost like I was supposed to have it,” Isis King says about her surgery. “Although it was swelling and bruising and everything, automatically I felt more comfortable. I was ready to walk around the house in my little shorts. I just felt more confident.”
Isis King brought along her boyfriend, Desmond whom she met on MySpace before her surgery and you won’t want to miss the show as Desmond proposes to her on the episode! If you can’t watch it, we will tell you that there is a marriage in their future.
“Yes!” Isis King says. “Oh my Goodness. Oh my goodness. Are you serious?”
